TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS INCUBATION
"Believe in your potential, look positively toward the future and stay hopeful."
- The Gifted Graduation
Same as my last blog, we have a lecture series regarding on StartUp and Business related topics. As for the lecture series no. 2, we have two (2) Guest Speaker that will also tackling the two topics about the Technology Business Incubation. Mr. Kit Laurence Nacua is the first lecturer, he is an experienced incubatee and one of the co-founder of Ehatid - a grocery delivery platform based in Cagayan de Oro City. He also share with us on how his startup journey is now powering SM City (Cagayan de Oro) Mobile Application. Mr. Kit has so much to tell, he inspire us with his journey. He even tell us how his journey go through ups and downs but despite of those, they didn't stop and just keep going. He has so much to share during his lecture but due to time limit he had to cut it short so that he can accommodate questions from the viewers. Mr. Kit and his sister Ms. Krystel Nacua also gave us tips and advices on their end about the startups and how to effectively handle business.
As for our second Guest Speaker, Ms. Geisha Mae Getuaban, she is a Project Development Officer in an incubation (CDO b.i.t.e.s) and also the Campus Director for Hult Prize at USTP-CDO. She talks about the Introduction to Technology Incubation as well as what CDO b.i.t.e.s do throughout the lecture. She also share with us the purpose of CDO b.i.t.e.s and their different events with each classification. At the end, I am quite amaze of how their services offered to aspiring incubatees can gain so much benefits to their future.
While listening to them throughout the whole session, I learned so much from them. As an aspiring future marketer, I am so overwhelmed with the thoughts and lesson I have gain today. Mistake is just a short event that no need to surrender and stop our goal and vision, instead go for the positive and learned from mistake. Ms. Alice once said in lecture that, "Don't be afraid to fail, be afraid not to try", and I agree with that because failure doesn't make us less.
